MITCHELL, VICE PRESIDENT
Mr. Mitchell joined The Chiofaro Company in 1985 as the Director of Tenant Construction for the Company’s 1.8 million square foot International Place project. In recent years, he has overseen several construction projects, including many built-to-suit corporate headquarter buildings in the Company’s suburban office parks in Westborough and Westford, MA. He also directed the relocation of the State of Massachusetts Central Artery High Street Ramp, which made way for the construction of the second phase of International Place. His work on the Central Artery High Street Ramp earned his project team a design award from the American Consulting Engineers Council. Mr. Mitchell has also provided consulting services on many projects including leasing, design and construction for State Street Bank and Proteon, Inc.
Mr. Mitchell has been in the real estate business for over twenty years. Prior to joining The Chiofaro Company, Mr. Mitchell worked with the Turner Construction Company for eight years in both Philadelphia and Boston where he had project management responsibilities for many downtown and suburban buildings.
Mr. Mitchell resides in Ipswich, Massachusetts with his wife and two children, is very active in local civic affairs, and recently completed a 4-year tenure as the Vice President of the town’s Little League Charter. He is currently serving on the Ipswich Building Committee overseeing construction of a new $32 million high/middle school. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
